2-Day Express - Counterbalanced Forklift Trainer Certification
This program is specific to the counterbalanced forklift and, while not as extensive as our flagship 4-Day Trainer Program, it is the best quality 2-day trainer certification program available.
Program Duration: Two (2) days (Lunch is provided on both days)

Forklifts Addressed:ITA Class 1: Electric Motor Counterbalanced Rider Truck:
- Stand-up or sit-down models with either solid or pneumatic tires
ITC Class 4: Internal Combustion Engine Counterbalanced Rider Truck:
- Solid or cushion tires
ITA Class 5: Internal Combustion Engine Counterbalanced Rider Truck:
- Pneumatic tires only
Program Structure: - Classroom theory training - 70% - Practical hands-on training - 30%

Our 2-Day Express Counterbalanced Forklift Trainer Program is delivered on an open enrollment basis at a number of our training facilities (see calendar for location details). IVES will teach your trainer everything they need to know about electric and engine-powered counterbalanced forklifts (ITA* Classes 1, 4, and 5) and how to effectively train your operators. Each trainee's knowledge and demonstrated skills are evaluated and graded prior to certification. A working knowledge of the equipment and some experience in training people are definite assets for completing this program.
Program Outline
DAY 1
- Introduction and orientation
- Trainer pre-test
- Program overview and objectives
- Review of applicable regulations and standards
- Classroom and practical instructional techniques
- Counterbalanced Forklift interactive theory training
- Pre-use inspection, general operations, parking & shut down (hands-on)
- Homework assignment
DAY 2
- Review of Day 1
- Review practical training skills
- Practical training exercises (hands-on)
- Practical evaluation forms and procedures
- Practical evaluation exercises (hands-on)
- Master trainer theory test
- Documentation procedure
- Final written examination (instructional techniques)
- Operator re-certification procedures
- Program review and wrap-up
Trainees enrolled in the 2-Day Express Program will be sent a Counterbalanced Forklift Operator Reference Manual one week prior to the program for review and completion. Each trainee must bring their completed Reference Manual with them on Day 1 of the program. Due to the fast pace of this program it is recommended that candidates have a good command of the English language.
