| Prerequisites: | Please be aware that attendees of all training programs delivered by IVES must have functional English language reading, writing and speaking skills. |
Important Details
- Trainees must be IVES Certified Forklift Trainers prior to attending.
- Trainees should have experience working on and/or with the equipment addressed. Operator credentials are not issued during this program.
- Load charts are detailed extensively, therefore, basic math skills are required.
- PPE: Trainees MUST wear steel-toed shoes or boots and bring a hard hat, if possible.
- A portion of this program will be outdoors therefore trainees should wear appropriate clothing.
- Trainees will be sent a Rough Terrain Forklift Operator Reference Manual in advance. Trainees must read the entire workbook, complete the quizzes throughout and bring their completed workbook to the program. Completion of the workbook is mandatory and successful completion of this program depends on it.
- IVES reserves the right to reschedule or cancel this training program for reasons including, but not limited to, low enrollment and logistical issues.

The Rough Terrain Forklift Upgrade Program is designed for IVES-certified trainers of powered mobile equipment operators who wish to acquire the technical knowledge needed to train operators of rough terrain variable reach forklifts. This program is delivered at selected training locations on an open enrolment basis.
Program Details - Rough Terrain Forklift Upgrade
This one-day program is designed for IVES- forklift certified instructors and will upgrade their credentials to include the Rough Terrain variable reach forklift. All program attendees will gain technical knowledge of this equipment through classroom study and hands-on exercises.
Program Duration: One (1) Day

- ITA Class 7: Vertical Mast Rough Terrain
- ITA Class 7: Variable Reach (Telehandler)

Pre Program Requirements - Rough Terrain Forklift Upgrade
Trainees enrolled in the Rough Terrain Forklift Upgrade Program will be sent a Rough Terrain Forklift Operator Reference Manual a minimum of one week prior to the program for review and completion. Each trainee must bring their completed manual with them on the Day 1 of the program.
