"I need to give you a testimony. Nick [the trainer] trains his trainers to keep good records and lesson plans. He has stated in his training that one day you may have to provide these items. Well it happened to me, unfortunately we had a fatally in this area. My supervisor heard and read through the media that it had happened to one of our clients. He asked me to gather all my resources that I use for my forklift classes, and asked if this individual was in any of my training classes. I also read and heard the story, let me tell you that my heart sank when I read and heard the story. But I did not need to worry due to the fact that I was properly trained about maintaining records. My supervisor warned me that OSHA will more than likely come to see you on this matter, and he was right an OSHA compliance officer came by and requested to see all of my training resources. So I cooperated with him, he asked me a few questions about our program here at San Juan College School of Energy. So when he asked me what material I use for forklift training and when I told him that I use IVES Training, he stated to me that I have heard about them and they are one of the best if not the best in the country on training instructors I was relieved and blessed to hear those words. It was like music to my ears. You do not know how grateful I am that you have trained me to represent IVES and what they represent when it comes to training others to be safe and knowledgeable operators. If you would pass this on to potential or already instructors, if they think that this will not happen to them then they are setting themselves up for a fall and a lawsuit."
