Each Standard Forklift Theory Training Package contains an equipment-specific operator reference manual and written theory test designed for use in delivering the theory (classroom) portion of a mobile equipment operator training program only. Materials needed for the practical (hands-on) evaluation of operators, as well as documentation of their operational competence and / or qualifications, is not included in this package.
Each package includes:
(1) A Standard Forklift Operator Reference Manual (ORM)
This manual addresses engine and electric-powered counterbalanced forklifts with a sit-down, center controlled, non-elevating operator position and a vertical mast. It is the main source of theory information conveyed to the trainee and is self-paced with equipment related technical information and review exercises designed to confirm learning and enhances trainee retention.
(2) A Standard Forklift Operator Final Written Theory Test
A written test consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions drawn from the ORM review exercises to test the knowledge of the trainee specific to the theory information covered during the classroom training portion of the program. This test could also be administered verbally as required.
