Operator Requalification Materials are available for standard (counterbalanced) forklifts, narrow aisle forklifts, powered pallet trucks, rough terrain telehandlers, aerial boomlifts, scissor lifts, wheel loaders, skid-steer loaders, and backhoe loaders. Requalification programs must be delivered at regular intervals as mandated by government regulations for forklift operators. Re-training and re-evaluation of forklift, mobile elevating work platform (MEWP), and loader operators must also be performed based on incidents attributable to operator error or on the observations of the employer.
MEWP Familiarization Training is required to upgrade the general training and knowledge of previously qualified mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) operators. Boomlift and scissor lift operators need to be aware of and understand how to deal with any significant differences between the type of equipment they received general training on and those they are assigned to operate.
